On The Paper Trail to Storm Recovery

Astoria, OR – Twenty-four local agencies sent representatives to listen to an hour long presentation with OEM and FEMA agents. Among the good news for local agencies is that in September of 2007 Clatsop County had begun the process of making its own Mitigation Plan. Because this process was underway, county and city agencies will have special consideration with projects that qualify under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). Additionally, Oregon’s Economic and Community Development Department was also on hand with news regarding grant help to defer the cost share requirements of the FEMA program….more below...
