CCFog Update

by Tryan Hartill

As CCFOG begins its second round of signature gathering today in front of the Astoria Post Office, we stand at 83% of the total needed…a gain of 5% since our last report. The additional signatures were tallied last night and came from a few individuals carrying petitions to their friends and neighbors. We now need just 80 signatures to meet the required total to bring about a recall election for Clatsop County Commissioner Richard H. Lee, but want to collect more as a margin for error.

We have received permission to use a modest tent in front of the Post Office so people won’t have to sign in the rain. Volunteers will be there with petitions from 10 AM to 3 PM both today and tomorrow.
