From CCFOG.org
By his actions as a Clatsop County Commissioner, Richard Lee has harmed the future of Clatsop County and its residents through:
Squandering public funds by choosing to hire planning and management consultants and expensive attorneys but disregarding their professional advice and findings;
Undermining common values, adopted plans, established policies, and regulations of the County;
Failure to be open and transparent in decision-making and development of policy;
Ignoring and failing to respond to the advice and concerns of paid staff, volunteer committees, and the public;
Jeopardizing the justice system through threats of under-funding support staff;
Manipulating the membership of the Planning Commission in order to control the Planning Commission’s decisions and actions;
Endangering the public and disregarding public safety through failing to require funding guarantees for emergency services and personnel from major industrial proposals;
Creating a divisive environment that is acrimonious and counter-productive in doing the public’s business.

The chief petitioner is Charles Ray, as reported in The Daily Astorian. CCFOG will also be required to file timely financial disclosures on-line with the Secretary of State. It sounds like the recall effort will be a refreshingly open and transparent process.

I agree Peter, it’s only fair.

Refreshingly open and transparent?
As open and transparent as the Daily Astorian has been regarding their participation in printing off of CRIODA’s “homemade” flyers?
As open and transparent as CRIODA was regarding their in-kind contributors? Or how many flyers they actually dispersed? Or what exactly was posted from Sunset Presort that cost $2600 and what were the printing costs associated with what was posted?
Are there going to be those kind of “open and transparent” “homemade” flyers done up to keep us all informed, or is the Daily Astorian going to be much more “open and transparent” with their backing of this recall effort as Forrester was of his backing of 4-123, his anti-LNG stance, his friendship with Rajneesh Chandra Mohan (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh)?
As open and transparent as you, Huhtala, and the main, extravagant, contributor to your campaign?
No, this is going to be really, really open and transparent? So says you and Forrester?

How can the recall be a reality if they havent even got the names needed for it to become a voting issue yet? They are attempting to recall Lee. Thats where it is right now. They wont succeed either, just like their little phoney baloney whine fest about Marquis’ stipend went down.

As Bunny said, the recall folks don’t even have all the paperwork in yet, so the Election Clerk can decide if they can move onto collecting signatures.
In fact in my mind they will be “attempting” up until 8pm on recall election night.

No worries Tryan, all the paperwork is squared away now. We start Friday 9am as planned. If you had stuck around a few more minutes while ago you would’ve found that out. Wow – you looked tired – sort of like your blog. Maybe you should stop the loopers – they seem to be wearing on you.
Oops – forgot – i don’t post or read this site anymore. too bad – at one time not long ago you seemed to have so much potential.

What have you been doing?
Maybe you should stop the loopers
I really don’t care if you read or post, but I do ask that you stop lying about me.

Seems like somewhere I saw that the petition can only be signed by people in Lee’s district? Won’t that also be the case for the vote itself?

LOL!!...A large bone of truth hits the floor with a resounding “THUNK”.
I’m so tired of Marquis and his wifes antics. What the hell is wrong with those people? They should get some therapy or something. They, and obviously a small cadre of syncophants, must the only people around here that can’t see how ridiculous they are.

Only District 3 registerd voters can vote in the recall and it has to be a majority vote not requiring 50% turn-out and if the required number of signatures are verified and confirmed the recallee has a certain number of days to either resign or file an answer to counter the claims for recall and stand for a vote…I think I’m fairly close on this.
Somebody correct me if I’m not.

What an arrogant dick.
This blog “tired”? NCO is the greatest cyber asset this area has!
I suppose Scott’s “blogs” are as busy as this one? I dont think so. In fact, they are dead as a doornail.

Like your people “forgot” how many fliers they made, who made them, who paid for them to be made and forgot to report any of it to the state?
Like the Daily Astorian “forgot” which district Lee was representing and reported both districts 3 & 5 as his?
This is the group of mush brains we got running this recall? Yeah, what else they gonna “foget” to tell us?

Simply amazing that somebody is so full of themselves that they actually think it’s “too bad” that they deprive the NCO readership of their presence. That is a prime example of conceit.
Where do these kind of people come from?

Just to clear up a couple of things: Helen Westbrook does not live on 28th, she lives on Log Bronc Way. She is in District 4.
Here’s the plan: Helen Westbrook is to replace Sam Patrick. If the recall is successful, Cindy Price will replace Richard Lee. The attempted recall of the other three commissioners would be not far behind a successful recall of Richard Lee. Even if only one other commissioner is replaced, Marquis gets a majority on the Commission. The only question remaining is which will come first – the reinstatement of a stipend giving him the same salary as a judge (retroactive to last May) or the firing of Scott Derickson.
We need to nip this in the bud. I’ll sign on for a recall against Marquis any day.
24 On Jan 24, 01:00 am, THartill wrote:
Well you will have to take that up with Nicole Williams. Helen lives on Log Broc, but that street runs East and West. The line between District 3 and 4 runs North and South. Her address is 2810 or something and that is the number you would use to decide what district she is in.
25 On Jan 24, 08:49 am, Registered to Vote wrote:
Does Nicole Williams actually know Helen Westbrook’s address? My reading was that she was simply asked about which district 28th Street is in. I am just getting my information by going to the County’s web maps and pulling up Helen Westbrook’s home. When you click on the “precinct” button it says 7. I don’t see that 28th Street extends in to Mill Pond Village. 29th Street does and Helen Westbrook is immediately West of 29th Street.

Yes, she knows the exact address and that is what she said….should have made that more clear.

I am a bit surprised that a website belonging to a committee formed “for open government” does not proudly post the names of its leadership and supporters.
