Teen Retreat
Are you ready for a challenge? The Clatsop County 4-H is offering a teen retreat for high school students called Survivor Camp.
Outlast . . . . Your first roommate, Prize: learn skills to help you survive life after high school
Outwit . . . . The life sized Game of Life, Prize: a business dinner with local business people
Outplay . . . . The rest, Prize: kick out your frustrations with a self defense training session
Attend and survive . . . . Everyone wins: Tribal Council and a Dance on Saturday night
The teen retreat is February 15-17. Sign up deadline is January 21st, limited to the first 30 who apply with preference given to juniors and seniors. All high school age students are eligible they DO NOT need to be enrolled in 4-H to attend. Cost is $60 with scholarships available to students who are enrolled in 4-H.
Students from Clatsop and Tillamook Co. in Oregon and Pacific Co. in Washington will be participating. The Camp will be held on the Long Beach Peninsula with transportation provided to and from the Clatsop County Extension Office for local participants.

Clatsop County 4-H Exchange Program
Teens and young adults, at least 17 years of age as of January 1, 2008, from around Oregon are invited to apply to travel to Poland from June 19 to July 19, 2008. This exchange trip is coordinated by Michigan State University Extension, 4-H Youth Development Global and Cultural Programs in collaboration with the Oregon 4-H Youth Development Program. Oregon’s involvement is as a pilot program to gather information and insights related to making decisions for future development of an Oregon specific program with Poland.

Application deadline is February 11, 2008. A completed application must be to the county coordinator by this date.
