Quite a few things going on the next couple of days for a town our size.
Before I get to New Years, there are a couple of other notable events coming prior.
If you know of any other events, please let other readers know by posting them in the comments.
I will update if I come across any more…...

On New Years Eve the Cannery Cafe is featuring Christie and McCallum from the Eugene Springfield area. For a taste of what they are about visit the website; http://christiemccallum.com/index.html I don’t believe there is a cover charge.

Probably going to the Fort George on New Years….and then jumping in and out of various places like normal.
Yeah I have a new local blog post thingy on the left now….you can roll your mouse over the posts to see what website it is from. I’m trying to find some more local writers through my search terms. I’ve already found one new-comer, Elizabeth over at This is Life.
Thanks for the update Pierce. I’ll post it above. Surprisingly I’m getting quite a few Search Engine hits from people typing in “New Years Astoria Oregon” on Google, Yahoo etc….
Steve at the Wet Dog is supposed to be stopping by and posting what is happening there…They really need a website..(Hint Hint…)

There are many events happening in about a 6 block radius.
If you want to try some good locally made beers, Fort George would be the best. I would recommend either the Stout or Vortex (IPA) Also good is the Wet Dog on 11th Street. I would recommend their Poopdeck Porter or Bitter Bitch (IPA). One other is Baked Alaska on 12th, which has a good Coffee Beer called Thundermuck.
