Ron Paul Tea Party and how windy will it get today?

by Tryan Hartill

UPDATE 2

9:00 pm

Well the official Ron Paul campaign site is not holding up to well. But it looks as if the final number for the day will be right at 6 million, which breaks John Kerry’s 1 day fund raising record of 5.7 million back in 2004. Paul is now at about 18 million for his 4th quarter total.

UPDATE

7:45 Sunday

So far Ron Paul has raised 4.2 million 5.6 million in just over 18 23 hours. This will break his previous record set on November 5th.

As you might expect Oregon is supporting Ron Paul more than most other States. We are somewhere between 8th and 10th in donations.

Folks are coming up with a variety of ways to help Ron Paul win the nomination. Such as a letter writing campaign that involves sending close to a million handwritten letters to New Hampshire and Iowa voters. Oregon is ranked 8th in the number of letters sent at 2,295….and the 7 states ahead of Oregon all have at least double the population.

Other supporters just launched the Ron Paul Blimp which will fly around the country telling people to “Google Ron Paul”.

If you are a Ron Paul supporter today is the day to throw him a few bucks. The more money the more media talk and buzz. Only 1 hour left!!!! Click the photo below to donate…..

Ron Paul

Today is the big day for the Tea party folks. They have been pushing for a 5-10 million dollar fund raising day for the Ron Paul Campaign.

As of 9:30 they are about to crack the 2.6 million dollar mark.

Wind on its way

The wind will pick up today about 12:30. Since many of the buoys are still down from the last storm, it’s hard to pin this storm down. Here is the graph from about 100 miles off the coast:

The pressure has dropped quite a bit in the last few hours and the wind has picked up to 50+ mph. We may get a 45 mph gust or so as the storm moves into Canada. The storm is a little stronger than I thought, but has moved north more than what the computers said just a few days ago. There may be a few power outages today, but it shouldn’t be too bad. Although the wind blew about 30 mph on Friday night and about 1/4 of Astoria lost power for about an hour…so who knows…
