Me and mine have done absolutely nothing to Clatsop County but defend its charter. And we were barely given the opportunity to do that. You say you want people involved in civics but your actions show it is only if they believe exactly as you do. The damage inflicted is when people oppress the truth. When they silence those who disagree. When they disparage those who hold an unpopular point of view.

I, personally, am having a very, very hard time believing that our cousin would write the many atrocious things on a few threads here about me, my religion, my father and my family. The sadness of such hatred towards another, even more so family, is incomprehensible to me. I will, however, defend to death his right to express his opinion on my actions, my concerns, my ideas. I would hope whoever that person is would find a more artistic way to express himself. It appears that for some sexually explicit dialog is their highest form of art. I would venture a guess that whoever wrote it wouldn’t let their mother, much less their daughter read it, but who knows?

How about you and yours stick to the topic, discuss and confront the concerns people have, and quit dragging my name into every discussion of the district attorney?

SUPREME LAW ENFORCER? The ONLY thing the DA is allowed to “enforce” is child support payments. http://www.leg.state.or.us/ors/008.html Chapter 8 of Oregon Statutes tells ya what the duties of a DA are. Maybe you and the DA should read it. The DA is a prosecutor for the state. He doesn’t govern, contrary to what the Independent DA website lied to the voters about on their website, nor is he the supreme law enforcer. What he is is a glory hound who takes away the respect due the real enforcers out on the front lines every day.

Who’s going to protect our “rights”? Certainly not a prosecutor! What rights has he ever protected? Who’s going to do his job if he goes away? Ron Brown already does it all. Any of the other five deputies that cover his ass as he gabs away on the phone 24/7, blogs and networks for the National District Attorneys Association could do his job blindfolded.
