I'm Back!!!

by Tryan Hartill

Yes it’s been a long time since I have posted. Some of it had to do with a 5 day vacation I took to Denver and San Francisco, which I will post about over the next few days. The rest had to do with just not having any desire to write anything.

Anyway here are a few links and stories from around the web….

Clatsop Charter

Iraq

  • The Booman Trib has a post up that questions the validity of the new Bin Ladin video. It seems that every time OBL talks about recent events the video freezes. Coincidence? Either way I’m sure this will be discussed in depth over the next week or so and hopefully it will become clear one way or another.
  • Here is a great recap of Ron Paul at the Fox Debate.

Idiots

  • A High School student in Louisiana is facing 22 years in jail for his part in a fight. who knew that a aggravated assault charge will get you 22 years in the slammer!
  • A McD’s employee is charged with “reckless conduct” after she gives a salty burger to a police officer.

Hot Weather

According to the weather folks the hot weather will last one more day. Monday is supposed to top out at 89 degrees. It will cool off a bit by Tuesday to a more reasonable 75.

Ron Paul is attracting a large following so I hear and of many different persuasions and is focussing on the Internet moreso than mainstream.

What is he? A Republican? A Libertarian? Ultra-Right Wing Extremist?

A long time friend of mine, who is nationally prominent, in the White Supremacist, Anti-Jew, Anti-Black, anything but White, Western European and their values movement in America, loves this guy and his message.

Is this the man with the message Americans who are sick and tired of being sick and tired of the slow implosion of our two party system are going to listen to as 1930s to mid-1940s Germany listened to a little fella from Munich?

We must all be careful with this man, he’s dangerous, at least in my view.

I think the main reason so many people are attracted to Ron Paul’s campaign, is that he has been the most outspoken politician against illegal immigration for a couple years. But he’s too conservative (read: not a RINO) to actually get the nomination.

Hopefully, now that Fred Thompson’s entered the race, any possibility of McCain or Guiliani getting the nomination will dry up.

Unless you can qualify by giving the name of your “friend”, this vague accusation attempting to link Paul with the ultra right wing white supremcist lunatic fringe, your statement is as vacant as local Democratic Party Committee chairman Larry Taylor’s list of “Girls I’ve Made Love To In My Life”

Just sharing information and trying to show the range of attention Paul is garnering “Anonym”, use it as you wish, I don’t rally care.

Well! Well!, Well! “Mr. Credibility Judge” and “Cruise Missle” expert hisself!

Out of respect for Hartill and the intergity of this site, I’m going to let that go Christie.

Again, just trying to pass on information that shows the range of interest in Ron Paul.

Accept it, don’t accept it, your choice.

So don’t come on this or any other forum with your neocon talking points taken out of context from 30 years ago and paint Ron Paul as some kind of white supremacist. If anyone needs any political advise from you, I’m sure they’ll ask you for it.

Once again, I find it interesting the following and diversity in philosophies Paul is attracting, obviously, you included.

I am in no way inferring or attempting to paint any kind of picture of this man.

Quite frankly the message is fresh and definitely attracting attention.

His straw polls are positive, his candidate preference polls, especially in Texas where he finished third are very good.

Even a person of your character would have to admit he’s causing a bit of a ruckus within the Republican Political Machine and making the Democrats sit up and pay attetnion.

Another Ross Perot perhaps? A Barry Goldwater? A credible candidate?

Where do you think he can take America?

He definitely stands out amongst all candidates posturing for position at the moment and once again attracting a very diversified following.

Think you can give an answer not mixed with spit and vitriole?

Explain yourself man. Do you suspect Ron Paul is power mad? Wants to take over the world? Based on what? Better back it up with more than you have so far or it’s just a cheap slimy smear attempt.

Who is your “nationally prominent White Supremacist” friend” ? or maybe you’re not at liberty to say? Why not? Go ahead be a name dropper. I don’t need to speak for Ron Paul, he speaks for himself quite well on the provided clip and on many other occasions available on you tube. I happen to agree with most of what he says and think just maybe he is best qualified to clean up after the worst administration this country has ever experienced.

What I am saying is, a person of your character, a person of Tryan’s character, a person of my character, a person of my friend’s character, the general disparity in philosophies, are definitely paying close attention to what Ron Paul, a 20 year, Republican Congressman, is saying.

As much as you hate “The Republican Message”, you comfortable this guy will not turn on your butt, if elected?

It’s happened before you know.

Sorry but, I have to inform you that everything is not just about you Christie, any of us.

25 On Sep 17, 10:33 am, Pierce wrote:

The best way to evaluate someones character is to look at their track record, talk to their friends and employers, look at what they’ve done. Then go ahead and listen to what they say. Here is what Mr. Paul stands for (from his website)He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.
His “Republican Message” makes pretty good sense in my humble estimation. I think he is a genuine straight shooter and a man of his word. I think his track record backs that up. Thats what you call credibility. I realize some people had a similar impression of W. If you really looked at his track record though you saw different. A pump and dump artist who could always get bailed out by daddy, the Saudis or some other string puller on the inside. No wonder Vincete Fox called him the cockiest person since Kid Rock.

Any of rest of the republican or democratic pack would be an improvement over what we have now to be sure. I think talk of racism and antisemitism is a red herring put forth by the same corporates that brought on the Bush debacle of the politics of terror, lies and war and torture. Criminal in every sense of the word. Thats why 95% of the repub pols are running scared against Paul. You wrote “Even a person of your character would have to admit he’s causing a bit of a ruckus within the Republican Political Machine and making the Democrats sit up and pay attetnion.” You could have used “you” in lieu of the first 9 words and said the same thing as what you claim to have meant. Not that I ever questioned that he was “causing a bit of a ruckus” either. I’m all for it. Glad to see it. You guys need a good shake up. Bush,Cheney, Rove the Neocons and their media shills got things just about FUBAR. Just my opinion, but then I have been informed that “everything is not just about you Christie” Lets see I’ll just turn on Fox news and see what it is all about. Yep OJ Simpson.

This is somewhat unrelated but Craig Paul Roberts has a new column out. Well worth the quick read. http://www.vdare.com/roberts/070916_conservatism.htm

I’m a strict constitutionalist. Until Ron Paul speaks/votes along the lines of doing away with every federal agency/program that isn’t one of the 18 or so allowed by the Constitution … he isn’t a “strict” constitutionalist.

Of course, I realize if he does … he won’t stand a chance of being elected.
