If you look at pictures of the damage … pictures that show the surrounding neighborhood … there is no, or negligible, damage to other buildings. In other words, the “truck bomb” was rigged as a directional charge.
Now, a directional charge isn’t that hard to do for small explosives. But to do so with a “truck bomb”, using homemade explosives … well, that requires a very high level of skill/training. More so than even military special forces would have.
Another option … and perhaps more realistic … is that the explosion wasn’t directional. Nor was it big enough to actually cause all the damage the pictures show. Instead, faulty/negligent/corrupt contractors didn’t use the correct materials when building.
{sarcasm} After all, we NEVER see buildings, bridges, or walkways fail because of THAT … do we?
The third option … the one the “ostriches” don’t want to think about … is that the “truck bomb” was only a diversion for the real explosion, and McVeigh is the sacrificial scapegoat.
I’m not saying which option is correct.
