After all the drama over the last few weeks I figured I would give a stat round up for August.
Overall hits and visits are a bit down when compared to the last few months. Over the last 5 months I have averaged about 8,500 visits pretty consistently. Hits are pretty much all over the board with a high of 25,000 in April because I posted a bunch of audio tracks and they mess with my hit counter….to a low last month of 15,000. The reason the hits and visits are so different is because a visit means a person that visits my site and hits are the total page views….most people view multiple pages during each visit.
The main reasons my hits are down this month is because I was taken off the BridgeCityHomestead page, which I got many hits from, and NCO has been down multiple times this month, for reasons that I have yet to determine.
The most popular post so far in August is Oregonian Editors jump into the local DA Ruckus which has received 468 hits.
The most popular search referrals from Search Engines (Google-Yahoo-Ask etc. etc.) though the first 20 days this month are “North Coast Oregon” (or something similar) with 110 hits, “Josh Marquis” with 29 hits and “Tryan Hartill” with 27 hits. And all the rest in single digits.
The top referrals came from Google at 345, Omerde.blogspot at 187 and Clatsop County Matters Voy with 167.
