Seriously, did the BATFE really expect a court to believe that an error rate of less than 1% showed a “willful violation”? Well … perhaps they did, given today’s court system.
More likely, however, they didn’t expect Red’s to have the resources to actually take them to court. That’s how the government usually wins, when it takes your Rights away. “You don’t like it? You think we’re wrong? Take it to the courts.”
