Don’t be so tight-fisted with those write-ins.
Truth is, in listening, Bonner has his head screwed-on pretty well and is not the “Zombie” some might perceive him to be.

How many people will be voting for King Richard?
He’s on the ballot…alone except for write-ins, but he’s on the ballot.

I bet the same amount will vote for him as the first time around. Those were his max – “GOTV” and “do or die” – numbers.
I’m not going to do any on the Ballot Measures, but going by my Google hit numbers I’d say the the Measure that is still undecided is the Parental Notifacation….Measure 43.
Patrick
Not sure what you mean. You think the Write-ins will be higher?

Hi everyone,
Been off the ol’ ‘puter for awhile as work has bogged me down a bit. Try to get back into it again. November thru January is also waterfowl/upland season so I hope to be doing a bit of that too. Also remodeling my house. Sheesh!
Good call on the Samuelson/Earl race.
I’ll be at the Samuelson victory party on election night down in Seaside.
Go Ann!!!
And Yes on 43. It’s the right thing to do. For those of you who are parents, don’t forget to vote. For those of you who aren’t parents, you might be someday and abortion is a major medical procedure which you should be alerted to for your minor children should that occur. Don’t forget your minor child can’t take aspirin at school or get his/her ears pierced without your consent.
Gov race is too close to call. Gov K has done alot for our area. Saxton wants to get tough. Hmmm. Tough call.
Tryan, we gotta ramp up the biodiesel. We need to find a place to do it. I have a bit of time now so I’ll start yacking with Bob G and see if we can find something.
I think I might even have enough time to start a blog to chronical my house remodel. I’ve been taking pictures since I broke ground. Would also like to chronical this hunting season which kicked off at a snowy opening in South Dakota pheasant hunting.
Sorry for rambling but that’s what happens when you’ve been off the circuit for awhile.

Bob and I are looking for a place and hope to come up with something by the 15th.
30 X 75 ft. would be the perfect size, but we could get by with something smaller.
And if you want to comment on 43 put some words in the Measure 43 post. I’m getting about 100 Google hits a day from undecided voters all over Oregon and about 40 of them a day are looking at the Measure 43 post.

I’ll give you a call sometime this week to catch up.

No on 43. If the only way your finding out your teen is having an abortion is via a letter from a doctor’s office you have already failed your child, big time. The right thing to do, at all times, is provide safe health care to everyone. A school is not a health care provider and is not trained in providing health care options. Of course it should have permission before handing out pills, that was not a valid comparison. Even a school nurse does not have the individual’s full medical history and has no idea what allergies they have. A school nurse is not supposed to diagnose and provide medication to any individual on school grounds whether they are children, teens or adults and even if it is “only” over the counter medication. The same with piercing ears, this is cosmetic and has no relevance to this measure.
It takes a whole village to raise a child does not mean it takes a whole village to play Big Brother for the parents, after the action that has caused the need for the abortion has happened. If people don’t want to find out about abortions via a letter then they need to keep open lines of communication with their children. We already have ignorant teens having boyfriends stomp on their stomachs and some dosing themselves with pennyroyal and codliver oil. Dangerous practices will only increase if we close down access to medical doctors. Sadly enough, too few teens already visit health care providers passage of this bill will only add to that trend.

I was pretty close on everything except the Fair Measure, that one really surprised me. It passed 55-45.
