I just watched a State Trooper pull over a guy on a bicycle.
North of 12th Avenue on Holladay Drive.
Trooper? Bicycle?
So…I went out to watch the roust. What could he have done? Run through the stop sign three blocks away? Ridden down the middle of a deserted street? Mebbe he was shouting obscenities? I didn’t hear them. Looked to me like a guy riding down the sidewalk.
Oh, yeah…that’s against the law.
After the roust the trooper came across the street to talk to me.I’m a front yard kinda guy when somebody is getting rousted,..he tried that “verbal ju-jitsu” thing. “I saw you watching me. Did you have any questions?”
So I asked where he was from. Roseburg. It’s easy being tough away from town. Then he explained how important his work was. He was keeping visitors from tearing up our town. Yeah. One guy on a bike. Must have been pretty pumped up, huh?
But, he’s from Roseburg. I wouldn’t want to live there.
Last Friday the cops handed out 75 citations. Great way to start out the Break, huh?
Gotta love small town cops. Oh, and troopers.

Sounds like the Co-op at Sisters needs to plan ahead a little better, in getting upgraded. Having said that, were they using lines that were already put there by someone else and they are finally not “big enough” to handle the power needed in that area. It’s something that any co-op anywhere would have to deal with.
